Apologies for anyone who was expecting some kind of post.  I've been kinda busy for the last couple of months.  But I do have something special arranged coming up soon.

Legend of Legaia - Part 31 - FINALE - End of an Era

  Welcome back to Legend of Legaia.   Last time, we entered through the mouth of Juggernaut and have experienced a horrible scenery only our nightmares could concoct.   And today… we will put an end to all that and stop Juggernaut once and for all! As I said in the previous part, going through the hole up ahead is the Point of No Return , right to the final boss.   As such, it would be best to prepare .   Make sure everyone has their Ra-Seru equipment, and their HP and MP replenished.   As for accessories: I would give an HP-boosting accessory to Noa (such as Minea’s Ring ) to up her low HP.   Any AP-affecting accessories (ie. Mettle Goblet or Mettle Gem ) are recommended as well.   Don’t worry too much about accessories affecting hit rate; you should be able to hit the final boss with 100% hitrate regardless, so don’t waste your accessory slots on Target Chain or Unholy Icon.   Same thing with Speed Chain; the final boss is actually ve...

Games I Played: Legend of Legaia

  And now: these are my ramblings and thoughts about Legend of Legaia. Back in January, when I wanted to replay Legend of Legaia, I wanted to write my thoughts on this game as I went along with it.   Back then, I asked if this game still stood as well as I remembered.   And now, I can give a verdict: yes, this game was still as good as I remembered.   Legend of Legaia is such a neat RPG for the PS1 with great story, memorable characters, and a fun, unique combat system that I have not seen imitated ever since, aside from its sequel. Right from the get go, the game really wants to tell a darker story than the usual RPG plot.   The mist is a constant force of evil as it crippled civilization, as well as turning serus against humanity.   I feel the story immediately sets its tone when they show Juno’s dead body.    And it doesn’t stop there.   The zombie-like nature of the human-seru monsters, the dreaded seru bride plot, or even how humans ...

Legend of Legaia - Part 13 - Frozen Over

  Welcome back to more Legend of Legaia.   Last time, we saved Octam from a menacing bull!   Oh yeah, and some babies died, I guess.   Today, we are going to see the results of our actions! A reminder: if you warped back here right after the Xain boss fight, do head back down the frozen area of Fire Road once you’ve rested up.   There’s a couple of treasure chests there to collect and a new seru to encounter. dude, stop laughing, it's kinda creepy   The guard in front of Fire Road asked us to visit the mayor now that we’ve solved the issue, so let’s head straight there.   The mayor congratulates our heroes on a job well done, but soon after asks us for another request.   He wants us to go to Vidna and retrieve some… Spring Salts ?   On top of that, he’s given our heroes free access to the elevator connecting to the upper Octam, so we won’t have to go through the cave route again.
